Wow! As a fellow sewist, this is an amazing resource and I love how you’ve distilled down a larg, complex topic into the essentials. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I will definitely bookmark it to share with friends who express interest in garment sewing!
This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing with the world. I haven’t sewn for ages and it’s made me realise how much I miss it. I feel so inspired! ❤️
This was super helpful—thank you! I loveeee seeing what other people are sewing. I started sewing in January of this year and have gotten somewhat comfortable with cottons/linens, but have yet to dive into the waters of knit fabrics! I think that will be my goal for next year :)
This is so excellently thoughtful! It popped up in my feed and I was reading and nodding along and then I also saw a #TopDownCenterOut mention which was an unexpected happy bonus, thank you) but yes, the philosophy is all about reducing the barriers for people to make their own clothes

I think it is well written and if I were about to start sewing this is what I would read. Well written, comprehensive and not overwhelming!
What an info-packed post! Thank you! Learning to sew is my goal this year🙄😳
This was such an inspiring and motivating read. Also your style is impeccable. My jaw literally dropped on the interlocking circle quilted jackets.

I love that fish purse!
Love your style, thanks for sharing.
Great list! I’d add Helen’s Closet to the pattern makers list. Helen’s instructions are fantastic for beginners!
